An afternoon at the pool

Today was a relaxing morning of fend for yourself breakfast followed by swimming and eating an American supper at the American Embassy swimming pool with Kate's cousin Terry. It is so fun to meet these exotic people who have lived in Singapore, Greece, Zaire and are planning their next adventure (probably Hong Kong or Buenos Aires.) Terry and his wife Elizabeth have offered us the use of their driver tomorrow as they both work all day so I think we'll tool around and see the Red Fort in Old Delhi, maybe a Hindu temple and hopefully finish up our shopping. Because of the time change we don't plan on anything happening with the embassy until afternoon or Tuesday morning. The days are zipping by and I, myself, am not looking forward to having to cook my own meals, clean my own house and wash my own clothes but the fantasy must end sometime I guess!

Silvie buys fruit 3x a week and hand washes it herself. I have never eaten mangos as sweet as these. We had lychees for the first time and they are small and fun to eat.

The henna they put on their hands for the ceremony lasts about a week.
